A rarely-told difference of approaching a girl; between western and Thai. 

I am originally Thai but have lived in Australia for years.

What I have seen is "Thai girls are more reserved to guys than western girls".

... 😕 Tons of you might think "am I joking?", 'coz there is a bunch of "easy-going" girls in Pattaya, Phuket and elsewhere.  

But let me clarify for seconds

First, I have to say that those Thai ladies are just a tiny group of entire Thai ladies.

We cannot use these ladies to represent what Thai ladies really are.

If you spend more time in somewhere not Pattaya, Phuket or any nightlife spots, you will know how hard to approach a Thai woman.

Secondly, In Australia, many times I saw a dude approaching a girl on the street or in a park and she talked back without awkwardness.

Sometimes she was OK (which happened commonly), the conversation would go on.

Sometimes she was not, she would send some refusal signal and the dude perceived it, then just walked away.

... Easy, isn't it? 😃

But If this scenario takes place in Thailand, I am pretty sure the girl will come up with obvious barriers and usually walk away.

... Not easy, is it? 😩

So, now, I do like the way western girls respond to a guy approaching her.

I don't like the way that Thai ladies treat guys back, though i am 100% Thai.

Moreover, as you are a white dude, you are luckier than us.

you hold some handicap over Thai males (and asian males).

Subtly, Thai women value white dudes above Thai men for some reasons.
(Of cause, this is not obvious. If you walk down to interview a Thai woman, she would say race doesn't matter.)

So They are likely to be little more opened to you, white dudes.

But keep in mind, it doesn't mean too opened.

Now, hope you lucky with a Thai lady

and hope me lucky with a white girl as well 😎.
